We live in a global village characterized by
modern technology which has reduced the distance between countries, placed instantaneous comunication at our fingertips, revolutionized medicine and agriculture and make our lives easier with many creature comforts. Bagam Village Community Forum (BVCF) is an attempt to use the tools of our modern civilization in an innovative model where the global citizen is a participant and partner with the Bagam people in the social, cultural and other development activities of their rural community in the Bamboutous Division of the Western Province of Cameroon Republic. Bagam people and their village have a motivation to make themselves and their village a model of sustainable development.
The rich alluvial soil produces staples like maize, peanuts, pumpkins, tomatoes and other vegetables that permits villagers to have enough for their daily subsistence. There is also a great potential to raise livestock and other marketable crops such as coffee making the vast land expanse a potential to be a food basket. Bagam people wish to organize their community with the participation of the global village to improve their lives and their village.
This webpage reaches out to individuals of good intent to be partners in the harnessing of the human and other resources that will assist the Bagam people improve their lives and their rural community. You may even find your participation with the Bagam people spiritually and emotionally self-rewarding and enriching by the experience that you will receive back for having made a change and working for as better outcome.
